Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9x13 inch baking dish by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Stir until well mixed.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring they are fully incorporated after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix.
- Gently fold in 3/4 cup of M&Ms into the brownie batter.
Baking
- Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Sprinkle reserved M&Ms on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cooling and Serving
- Allow the brownies to cool in the dish for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
Store leftover brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days, refrigerated for up to a week, or frozen for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave or oven for best results.
