      • 9×13-inch baking dish
      • Mixing bowl
      • Spatula

      Ingredients:

      • 1 lb ground beef
      • 1/2 cup onion, diced

      • 1 cup ketchup
      • 1 tablespoon mustard
      • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
      • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
      • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
      • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
      • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
      • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

      Instructions:

      1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
      2. Cook the Beef Mixture:
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef, onion, and green bell pepper, cooking until the beef is browned and the vegetables are softened. Drain excess grease if necessary.
      3. Prepare the Sloppy Joe Sauce:
Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
      4. Assemble the Casserole:
Transfer the beef mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef mixture.
      5. Add Biscuit Topping:
Separate the biscuit dough and place the biscuits on top of the cheese, evenly spaced.
      6. Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
      7. Cool and Serve:
Allow the casserole to cool for 5 minutes before serving.

      Presentation Ideas:

      • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color.
      • Serve with a crisp green salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.

      Tips:

      • For extra flavor, add a splash of barbecue sauce to the beef mixture.
      • Swap cheddar for mozzarella or pepper jack cheese for a different twist.
      • Use crescent roll dough instead of biscuits for a lighter topping.
