Frosting Base
  • 1 package 1 (3.4 oz) package of instant pudding mix (flavor of your choice) Choose your favorite flavor.
  • 1 cup 1 cup of cold milk Use cold milk for optimal texture.
  • 1 tub 1 (8 oz) tub of Cool Whip, thawed Ensure it is fully thawed.
  • 1 teaspoon Optional: 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract for enhanced flavor Add for additional flavor if desired.

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the instant pudding mix and cold milk. Whisk until the pudding begins to thicken, about 2 minutes.
  2. Gently fold in the thawed Cool Whip using a spatula. Be careful not to deflate the Cool Whip.
  3. (Optional) Stir in the vanilla extract to enhance the flavor.
  4. You can use the frosting immediately, or chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes for a firmer texture.
  5. Spread the frosting over your cakes, cupcakes, or any dessert of your choice.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For best results, give a gentle mix before using if it has been sitting for a while. Not suitable for freezing.
