Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together until well combined.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- Brush melted butter over each triangle. Generously sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
Shaping and Baking
- Starting from the wide end of each triangle, roll the dough up towards the point.
- Gently twist each rolled piece a couple of times to create a spiral shape.
- Place the twisted dough on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let the twists cool for a few minutes, then drizzle with icing if desired.
Notes
These twists are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for three days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes.
