Tuna Salad Recipe

This easy and flavorful Tuna Salad recipe combines creamy mayo, crunchy vegetables, and tender tuna for a satisfying meal that’s perfect for sandwiches, wraps, or on its own.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans 5 oz each tuna in water or oil, drained
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard optional
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 small celery stalk finely diced
  • 1 small red onion finely diced
  • ¼ cup sweet or dill pickle relish optional
  • 1 boiled egg chopped (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish optional

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Tuna:
  2. Open the cans of tuna, drain the liquid, and place the tuna in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Use a fork to flake the tuna into small pieces.
  4. Mix the Dressing:
  5. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard (if using), and lemon juice. Stir until smooth and well-combined.
  6. Add Vegetables and Relish:
  7. Add the diced celery, onion, and pickle relish (if using) to the tuna bowl. If you’re adding a boiled egg, chop it into small pieces and add it as well.
  8. Combine and Season:
  9. Pour the dressing over the tuna and vegetables. Stir everything together until evenly coated.
  10. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  11. Serve:
  12. Serve immediately as a sandwich filling, in a wrap, or on top of a bed of greens. You can also chill it in the fridge for 30 minutes before serving for a cooler, more refreshing taste.
