Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cups warm milk (about 110°F) Essential for activating yeast.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adds sweetness to the rolls.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Enhances flavor.
  • 2 packets (4 1/2 teaspoons) active dry yeast Must be fresh for proper rise.
  • 1/2 cup melted butter (plus more for brushing) Gives richness and flavor.
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour Forms the base of the dough.
  • 2 large eggs Helps bind the dough.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. Stir in the melted butter and salt into the yeast mixture. Next, add the eggs and mix well.
  3. Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, mixing with a wooden spoon or a mixer fitted with a dough hook until a soft dough forms.
  4. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into smaller sections. Roll each section into balls and place them in a greased baking dish.
  7. Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise again for about 30 minutes until puffy.
  8. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Optional: Brush with melted butter after baking for extra flavor.
  9. Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm with your favorite spreads or toppings!

Notes

Store the rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. For longer storage, freeze them in a freezer-safe bag for up to 2 months and reheat in the oven before serving.
