  • 2 pieces chicken breasts, boneless and skinless Cut into bite-sized pieces.
  • ½ cup teriyaki sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For cooking.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced Adds flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances the marinade.
Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds For garnish.
  • 2 pieces green onions, chopped For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by cutting the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, and ginger.
  3. Add the chicken pieces and toss until they’re well coated. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the vegetable oil and allow it to warm up.
  2. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated chicken pieces, reserving the excess marinade.
  3. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet and let it simmer with the chicken for about 2-3 minutes.
Serving
  1. Remove from heat, and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
  2. Serve over steamed white or brown rice, or noodles.

Notes

To make Teriyaki Chicken even more special, consider using chicken thighs for juicier meat or tofu for a vegetarian option. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
