Preparation
- Begin by cutting the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, and ginger.
- Add the chicken pieces and toss until they’re well coated. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes.
Cooking
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the vegetable oil and allow it to warm up.
- Once the oil is hot, add the marinated chicken pieces, reserving the excess marinade.
- Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet and let it simmer with the chicken for about 2-3 minutes.
Serving
- Remove from heat, and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
- Serve over steamed white or brown rice, or noodles.
Notes
To make Teriyaki Chicken even more special, consider using chicken thighs for juicier meat or tofu for a vegetarian option. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
