Preparation
- Start by slicing the beef into thin strips. Ensure uniform size for even cooking. Season with salt and pepper.
Cooking
- In a large, heavy-bottomed skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the seasoned beef strips to the skillet in a single layer. Allow them to sear for about 2-3 minutes without moving them; this will create a nice crust.
- Once the beef is browned, flip the strips and add the minced garlic and sliced onion to the pan. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onions soften and become translucent.
- Sprinkle the chopped rosemary over your beef mixture and stir well, allowing the flavors to meld for about 1-2 minutes.
- Remove the skillet from heat and serve the tender beef immediately, garnished with extra rosemary or fresh herbs of your choice.
Notes
For substitutions, chicken or lamb options work well, though cooking times may vary. Ensure not to overcrowd the pan for best searing results. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for three months.
