Noodles and Beef
  • 8 ounces noodles (preferably flat noodles for best results)
  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
Sauces and Seasonings
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional, for added depth)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust for heat preference.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
Garnish and Extras
  • 2-3 green onions, chopped For garnish.
  • Vegetables of choice (such as bell peppers or carrots) Add more for a nutritious punch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside once they’re tender.
  2. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant. This should take about 1 minute.
Cooking
  1. Pour the soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using) into the skillet, stirring to combine with the beef. Add red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper, adjusting to your taste preferences.
  2. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, mixing everything together until the noodles are thoroughly coated with the sauce.
  3. Toss in the vegetables and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they are warm and crisp.
Serving
  1. Plate the noodles and beef mixture, garnishing with chopped green onions for a fresh finish.

Notes

Allow the dish to cool completely and store in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop, adding a splash of water or broth to ensure the noodles stay moist.
