Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven according to the instructions for your pizza crust, typically 425°F (220°C).
Cook the beef:
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.
Add taco seasoning:
Mix the taco seasoning packet with 1/2 cup water. Add it to the beef and simmer for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is evenly coated and the liquid reduces.
Assemble the pizza base:
If using refried beans, spread a thin layer over the pizza crust. Alternatively, use a drizzle of taco sauce as a base.
Add the toppings:
Spread the seasoned beef evenly over the crust. Top with shredded cheese.
Bake:
Place the pizza on a baking sheet or pizza stone. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Add fresh toppings:
Once baked, let the pizza cool for 2–3 minutes. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, black olives, red onion, and crushed tortilla chips.
Finish and serve:
Drizzle with sour cream or taco sauce, and sprinkle with cilantro if desired. Slice and serve immediately.
