Baking Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gently fold in the blueberries.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently, then pat down to about 1-inch thick.
- Use a biscuit cutter or glass to cut out biscuits.
- Place the biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
- Let the biscuits cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For substitutions, use whole wheat flour for half of the all-purpose flour and honey or maple syrup instead of sugar. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or freeze for up to 3 months.
