Cooking Procedure
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turns pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat, and add the heavy cream and smoked paprika. Stir until combined, allowing it to simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet and coat thoroughly in the creamy sauce. Cook for an additional minute to reheat.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread.
Notes
Best enjoyed immediately. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container and consumed within 2-3 days. Reheat on the stove over low heat with additional water or cream. Can be frozen for up to a month, but texture may change.
