Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined) Peeled and deveined shrimp are ideal for maximum flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced) Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half or a mixture of milk and butter.
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika For a smokey flavor.
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Method

Cooking Procedure
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turns pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, lower the heat, and add the heavy cream and smoked paprika. Stir until combined, allowing it to simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return the shrimp to the skillet and coat thoroughly in the creamy sauce. Cook for an additional minute to reheat.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread.

Notes

Best enjoyed immediately. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container and consumed within 2-3 days. Reheat on the stove over low heat with additional water or cream. Can be frozen for up to a month, but texture may change.
