Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface into a rectangular shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving about an inch border all around.
- Add the cooked Halal meats, followed by the shredded cheese, diced vegetables, and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
- Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough into a log, ensuring that the fillings remain intact.
- Pinch the ends to seal tightly.
- If desired, whisk the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the top of the Stromboli for a beautiful golden finish.
- Transfer the Stromboli to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve warm alongside extra pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, wrapped tightly in plastic wrap or in an airtight container. For longer storage, freeze sliced Stromboli for up to 2 months and reheat at 350°F (175°C).
