Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated.
- Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish to create a crust.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Gently fold in the whipped cream until you have a smooth and fluffy mixture.
- Spread half of the creamy mixture over the graham cracker crust. Add a layer of sliced strawberries, covering the cream layer completely.
- Repeat with the remaining creamy layer and another layer of strawberries on top.
- Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible.
Serving
- Slice and serve chilled, garnished with additional strawberries if desired.
Notes
This dessert can be paired with vanilla ice cream or extra whipped cream. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month. Don't skip the chilling step!
