Ingredients
  

Pasta and Meat
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini) Use penne or rotini for best results.
  • 1 lb ground beef (Halal-certified) You can substitute with ground chicken or turkey.
Creamy Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
Vegetables and Seasonings
  • 1/2 cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped (Halal-friendly) Can be replaced with regular bacon.
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes For topping.
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes Adjust to taste.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper, for 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet, sauté for 2-3 minutes until onions become translucent.
  4. Lower heat and add heavy cream and cream cheese. Stir well and simmer until sauce thickens.
  5. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese, Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes, mixing until cheese is melted.
  6. Combine cooked pasta with the sauce in the skillet, mixing until well-coated.
  7. Serve topped with chopped turkey bacon and diced tomatoes.

Notes

For a lighter dish, use ground chicken or turkey and low-fat cheese. Prep ingredients before cooking for efficiency. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for 2 months. Reheat with a splash of milk.
