Preparation
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper, for 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet, sauté for 2-3 minutes until onions become translucent.
- Lower heat and add heavy cream and cream cheese. Stir well and simmer until sauce thickens.
- Stir in shredded cheddar cheese, Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes, mixing until cheese is melted.
- Combine cooked pasta with the sauce in the skillet, mixing until well-coated.
- Serve topped with chopped turkey bacon and diced tomatoes.
Notes
For a lighter dish, use ground chicken or turkey and low-fat cheese. Prep ingredients before cooking for efficiency. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for 2 months. Reheat with a splash of milk.
