Preparation
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 6-8 minutes.
- Once the beef is cooked, stir in garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cooking
- Lower the heat and add the heavy cream to the beef mixture, stirring gently. Allow it to simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
- Reduce the heat further, then add the shredded cheddar and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheeses are melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and mix well until every piece is coated in that luscious cheese sauce.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and parsley, and serve hot for a deliciously comforting meal.
Notes
You can substitute ground turkey or a plant-based meat alternative for a lighter dish. If there are any leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a pan over low heat, adding a splash of milk or water to loosen the sauce.
