Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the active sourdough starter, flour, olive oil, salt, and any herbs or spices you prefer. Mix until a dough forms.
- Sprinkle a bit of flour on your surface and knead your dough lightly for a minute until it’s smooth.
- Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll it out to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Remove the top sheet of parchment and cut the dough into squares or rectangles using a pizza cutter or knife. Prick each cracker with a fork to prevent puffing.
- Transfer your parchment with the dough directly onto the baking sheet. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the crackers are golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- Allow the crackers to cool on a wire rack completely before serving.
