Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Boil water in a large pot and cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and chopped onions. Cook until browned (approximately 7-10 minutes). Drain any excess fat.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, browned beef, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup of shredded cheddar, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well until everything is incorporated.
- Spray a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray and pour the mixture into the dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese on top of the mixture.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your creamy casserole goodness!
