Preparation
- Start by placing the onion quarters at the bottom of your slow cooker.
- Place the Halal corned beef brisket on top of the onions.
- Pour the beef broth over the meat.
- Sprinkle the black peppercorns, mustard seeds, coriander seeds, and bay leaves over the brisket.
Cooking
- Set your slow cooker on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
- Add carrots and potatoes halfway through the cooking time.
Serving
- Remove the corned beef from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Slice against the grain and serve with your favorite topping.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. For longer storage, freeze portions in freezer-safe bags for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave or stovetop with beef broth to maintain moisture.
