Slow Cooker Chicken and Noodles Recipe

This comforting slow cooker chicken and noodles recipe is a hearty and easy-to-make meal, perfect for busy weeknights. With tender chicken, rich broth, and thick egg noodles, it’s a cozy classic the whole family will love.

Equipment

  • Tongs

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • Fresh parsley chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Add Ingredients to Slow Cooker
  • Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Pour in the chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, water, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, black pepper, and a pinch of salt. Stir gently to combine.
  • Cook on Low
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until the chicken is tender and easy to shred.
  • Shred the Chicken
  • Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker.
  • Add the Noodles
  • Add the egg noodles to the slow cooker, stirring them into the broth. Cover and cook on high for an additional 20-30 minutes, or until the noodles are tender.
  • Serve
  • Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
