Preparation
- Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and a pinch of salt. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until they are golden brown and caramelized.
- Push the onions to the side and add the sliced beef to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Brown the beef for about 5-7 minutes until it’s no longer pink.
- Add minced garlic and stir everything together for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, mixing well. Let it simmer for 5 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and stir until everything is well-combined. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Sprinkle cheese on top, cover the skillet, and let it cook until the cheese has melted, about 3-5 minutes.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
Consider meat substitutions: easily substitute beef with chicken or lamb. Allow enough time for onion caramelization to develop flavor. Ensure your skillet is hot enough before adding the onions and beef for a perfect sear.
