Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound Beef, thinly sliced sirloin or flank steak Ideal for tenderness
  • 8 ounces Egg Noodles, cooked according to package instructions Fresh or dried
  • 2 medium Onions, sliced thinly For caramelizing
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced For flavor enhancement
  • 2 cups Beef Broth, low-sodium preferred For better control over seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce A Halal-friendly alternative can be used
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil For sautéing
  • to taste Salt Essential seasonings
  • to taste Pepper Essential seasonings
  • 1 cup Cheese, shredded mozzarella or provolone For melting goodness
  • Fresh Parsley, for garnish Adds color and aroma, optional but recommended

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and a pinch of salt. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until they are golden brown and caramelized.
  3. Push the onions to the side and add the sliced beef to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Brown the beef for about 5-7 minutes until it’s no longer pink.
  4. Add minced garlic and stir everything together for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, mixing well. Let it simmer for 5 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and stir until everything is well-combined. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle cheese on top, cover the skillet, and let it cook until the cheese has melted, about 3-5 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

Consider meat substitutions: easily substitute beef with chicken or lamb. Allow enough time for onion caramelization to develop flavor. Ensure your skillet is hot enough before adding the onions and beef for a perfect sear.
