Preparation
- Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain. Marinade with soy sauce and cornstarch for about 10 minutes.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat two tablespoons of vegetable oil over high heat until shimmering.
Cooking
- Add the marinated steak to the pan, spreading it out in an even layer. Sear for about 2-3 minutes until browned, flipping once. Remove the steak and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and cook for about 2 minutes.
- Add the bell peppers and minced garlic. Stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet, adding oyster sauce, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together over high heat for about 1-2 minutes.
Serving
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh green onions or sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. Reheat using a skillet on low to medium heat.
