Ingredients
  

Base Sauce
  • 1/2 cup capers, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice Preferably freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adjust to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste Capers are salty, taste before adding
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional) Chop for mixing or sprinkling

Preparation
  1. Rinse the capers thoroughly to remove excess salt. Mince the garlic and prepare fresh lemon juice (about 2-3 lemons).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, fresh lemon juice, and minced garlic. Whisk until emulsified.
  3. Gently fold in the rinsed capers to add slight crunch to the sauce.
  4. Season the mixture with salt and pepper according to your taste.
  5. Chop fresh parsley and mix in or sprinkle on top before serving for added color and flavor.
  6. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for later use.

Notes

Capers can be substituted with olives for a milder flavor. Always use fresh lemon juice for optimal taste. The sauce lasts 3-5 days in the fridge.
