Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 oz noodles (spaghetti or lo mein)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb steak (flank or sirloin), sliced
  • 2 cups mixed veggies (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots)
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced steak and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, or until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Toss in the mixed veggies and sauté for another 3-4 minutes until tender.
  3. Return the steak to the skillet, add the cooked noodles, and pour the teriyaki sauce over everything. Toss to combine well and heat through.
Serving
  1. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired and serve hot.

Notes

For added variety, consider substituting shrimp and steak with chicken or tofu. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp to avoid a rubbery texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
