Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 pound Steak (your choice, like sirloin or flank steak), thinly sliced Thinly sliced steak works best
  • 8 ounces Rotini pasta
For the sauce
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce (or a suitable substitute)
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
For garnish
  • Green onions, thinly sliced For garnish
  • Sesame seeds Optional, for garnish

Method

Cooking the pasta
  1. Begin by boiling a pot of salted water. Once it reaches a rolling boil, add the rotini pasta. Cook according to package directions until al dente, typically around 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Preparing the sauce
  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Set aside.
Cooking the steak
  1. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak slices with salt and pepper, then add them to the hot skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked to your liking.
Combining everything
  1. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the cooked steak in the skillet. Stir to coat the meat thoroughly, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Final steps
  1. Add the cooked rotini to the skillet and toss everything together to coat the pasta in that delicious sauce.
  2. Serve immediately, garnishing with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat on the stovetop over low heat, adding a splash of water if necessary to loosen the sauce.
