  • 1 10.5-ounce can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the Topping
  • 1 cup crushed buttery crackers like Ritz
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Mix the casserole ingredients
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, melted butter, diced onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
  • Assemble the casserole
  • Transfer the hash brown mixture to the prepared baking dish. Spread it out evenly with a spatula.
  • Prepare the topping
  • In a small bowl, combine the crushed buttery crackers and melted butter. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.
