  • optional fresh herbs for garnish (like parsley) Enhances presentation and flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Slice your onions and beef into thin strips to ensure even cooking.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and a pinch of salt. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they become caramelized and golden brown.
  2. Push the onions to one side of the pan and add the sliced beef to the other side. Season the beef with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned on the outside.
  3. Sprinkle flour over the beef and onions, stirring to coat. Gradually pour in the beef broth while continuing to stir, allowing the mixture to come to a simmer.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, mixing everything until combined. Allow it to simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
Serving
  1. Taste for seasoning and adjust salt and pepper as needed. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm in a skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of broth or water if it thickens too much.
