Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1.5 lbs Chicken thighs or breasts, skinless and boneless
  • 1 cup Ranch dressing, preferably homemade
  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened Ensure the cream cheese is softened for the best texture.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped chives, for garnish
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, optional, for topping
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil, for cooking

Method

Preparation
  1. If you opted for chicken breasts, consider slicing them in half horizontally to create thinner cutlets for even cooking.
  2. Sprinkle salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder evenly over the chicken pieces.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken, cooking for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, lower the heat and add the softened cream cheese along with the ranch dressing. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, ensuring it is well-coated with the creamy sauce. Cook for another minute to heat everything through.
Garnishing and Serving
  1. Sprinkle chopped chives and Parmesan cheese on top for that extra touch of flavor and presentation.
  2. Plate your Savory Creamy Ranch Chicken with sides of your choice, such as steamed vegetables or fluffy rice.

Notes

For substitutions, swap out ranch dressing for a homemade version using mayo, buttermilk, dried herbs, and garlic. Ensure you do not overcook the chicken; it should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, reheating over low heat with a splash of milk if necessary.
