- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sausage and break it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and asparagus pieces. Continue to sauté until the asparagus is tender, about 3-4 minutes.
- Once the pasta is drained, add it to the skillet with the sausage and asparagus. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water as needed to achieve the desired consistency.
- Add salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste. Finally, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and give it a final toss before serving.

For Halal-friendly alternatives, consider chicken or beef sausages. Timing is crucial; cook pasta and sausage simultaneously. Avoid overcooking asparagus to retain crunch.
