Ingredients

For the Marinade
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Choose low sodium for a lighter option.
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil For richness and healthy fats.
  • 1 tbsp Honey or Maple Syrup A hint of sweetness to balance flavors.
  • 1-2 tbsp Fresh Lime Juice For zesty brightness.
  • 1 tsp Minced Garlic Adds a delicious umami kick.
  • 1 tsp Grated Ginger For warmth and depth of flavor.
  • 1 tbsp Freshly Chopped Herbs (like parsley or dill) Adds a touch of freshness.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small mixing bowl, add the soy sauce, olive oil, honey, lime juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped herbs. Whisk until well blended.
  2. Place your salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a zip-top bag.
  3. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it’s well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
  4. Remove the salmon from the marinade and discard the marinade. Cook your salmon via grilling, baking, or pan-searing until it flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Garnish with additional herbs or lime wedges before serving.

Notes

Use fresh herbs for best flavor. Experiment with flavors by swapping ingredients like sesame oil or chili flakes. Store leftover marinade in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
