  • 2 slices slices of bread (your choice) Hearty bread like sourdough or whole grain is recommended for crunch.
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese, softened This adds creaminess to the sandwich.
  • 1-2 pieces roasted jalapenos, finely chopped Adjust the number based on your spice preference.
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter, for grilling For the perfect grilling.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Spread the softened cream cheese on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Evenly sprinkle the finely chopped roasted jalapenos over the cream cheese layer, then top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  3. Place the second slice of bread on top, cream cheese side facing in.
Cooking
  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Carefully place the assembled sandwich in the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bread is golden brown and crispy.
  3. Flip the sandwich and repeat until both sides are browned and the cheese is melted.
Serving
  1. Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve hot.

Notes

Make sure to use hearty bread for crunch. Adjust spice levels by removing jalapeno seeds or adding red pepper flakes. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 days, reheating in a skillet.
