Preparation
- Spread the softened cream cheese on one side of each slice of bread.
- Evenly sprinkle the finely chopped roasted jalapenos over the cream cheese layer, then top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
- Place the second slice of bread on top, cream cheese side facing in.
Cooking
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Carefully place the assembled sandwich in the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bread is golden brown and crispy.
- Flip the sandwich and repeat until both sides are browned and the cheese is melted.
Serving
- Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve hot.
Notes
Make sure to use hearty bread for crunch. Adjust spice levels by removing jalapeno seeds or adding red pepper flakes. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 days, reheating in a skillet.
