Roasted Broccoli Recipe

Transform broccoli into a crispy, caramelized delight with this simple roasted broccoli recipe. Perfect as a healthy side dish or a tasty snack!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb fresh broccoli florets about 1 large head
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • ½ teaspoon paprika or chili flakes optional for spice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice optional
  • Grated Parmesan or nutritional yeast optional garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat the Oven:
  2. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
  3. Prepare the Broccoli:
  4. Wash and thoroughly dry the broccoli florets. Cut them into bite-sized pieces, ensuring similar sizes for even cooking.
  5. Season the Broccoli:
  6. In a mixing bowl, toss the broccoli with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika or chili flakes (if using), salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  7. Roast the Broccoli:
  8. Spread the seasoned florets in a single layer on the baking sheet, ensuring they are not crowded.
  9. Roast for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the broccoli is tender and the edges are crispy and browned.
  10. Finish and Serve:
  11. Remove the broccoli from the oven and drizzle with lemon juice for brightness. Sprinkle with Parmesan or nutritional yeast if desired. Serve warm.
