Ingredients

For the Base
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 cup soda water (or sparkling water)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
For the Cream
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Whipped cream (for topping)

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by hulling and slicing the fresh strawberries. In a bowl, mix the sliced strawberries with sugar, letting them rest for about 5 minutes to create a light syrup.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. If you wish, you can add a touch of sugar to sweeten it further—this step is up to your taste!
Assembly
  1. In a glass, add the sugar-coated strawberries at the bottom, followed by a generous amount of ice. Slowly pour the soda water over the strawberries and ice until the glass is nearly full.
  2. Top your drink with the whipped cream, layering it gently over the sparkling water. For an extra touch of elegance, a few mint leaves can be added as a garnish.
Serving
  1. Gently stir to combine before sipping. Enjoy this refreshing treat with family and friends on a warm day!

Notes

For an alternate flavor, substitute strawberries with other berries. Whip the cream when ready to serve to avoid deflation. Balance the sweetness to your preference.
