Preparation
- Cut your boneless chicken into bite-sized pieces to ensure they cook evenly and quickly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey (or maple syrup), minced garlic, and ginger. Add the diced chicken and let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
Cooking
- Heat a non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes until it’s golden brown and cooked through.
- Toss in your sliced bell peppers and broccoli florets. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender yet crisp.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Pour this mixture into the skillet and stir to thicken the sauce.
- Remove from heat. Top with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Serving
- Spoon the delightful mixture over your prepared rice or noodles and enjoy while it’s hot.
Notes
For an authentic experience, consider substituting chicken for turkey or tofu for a vegetarian version. Cooking the chicken in batches ensures even cooking.
