Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the milk and vegetable oil together. Slowly pour this mixture into the dry ingredients.
- Stir the mixture gently until just combined, being cautious not to over-mix.
- Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper. Pour the batter evenly into the pan.
- Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serve warm.
Notes
Wrap leftovers tightly in foil or cling film and keep at room temperature for up to 2 days. For longer storage, slice and freeze in a bag for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature or toast before serving.
