  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk and vegetable oil together. Slowly pour this mixture into the dry ingredients.
  4. Stir the mixture gently until just combined, being cautious not to over-mix.
  5. Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper. Pour the batter evenly into the pan.
  6. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serve warm.

Notes

Wrap leftovers tightly in foil or cling film and keep at room temperature for up to 2 days. For longer storage, slice and freeze in a bag for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature or toast before serving.
