Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven to heat up for a crispier crust.
Prepare the dough:
If using homemade or store-bought dough, roll it out on a floured surface into your desired shape (about 12 inches in diameter). Transfer to parchment paper for easy handling.
Add the base and cheese:
Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
Bake the pizza:
Carefully slide the parchment paper with the pizza onto the preheated stone or baking sheet. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Add the prosciutto and arugula:
Remove the pizza from the oven and immediately top with slices of prosciutto. Scatter the fresh arugula on top, followed by shaved Parmesan.
Finish with olive oil and spices:
Drizzle olive oil over the pizza and sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes for a bit of heat. Add fresh basil leaves if desired.
Slice and serve:
Let the pizza cool for a minute, then slice and serve warm.
