  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Filling and Topping
  • Filling of your choice (jam, custard, or chocolate)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until blended.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry mixture and stir until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. Shape small pieces of dough into balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Make an indentation in each ball and fill with your choice of filling. Pinch the dough to seal.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Let the paczki cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with various fillings like fruit jams, chocolate spreads, or flavored custards. Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days or freeze for up to a month.
