Ingredients
  

  • 1 package 8 oz crescent roll dough
  • 1 package 14 oz mini sausages or cocktail franks
  • 1 egg beaten (optional, for egg wash)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds or poppy seeds optional, for garnish

  • Parchment paper or nonstick spray
  • Knife or pizza cutter

Method
 

  1. Preheat Oven:
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  3. Prepare the Dough:
  4. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles along the perforations. If needed, cut each triangle into smaller strips to fit the mini sausages.
  5. Wrap the Sausages:
  6. Place a mini sausage at the wide end of each dough strip. Roll the dough around the sausage, sealing the edges.
  7. Optional Egg Wash and Garnish:

  10. Arrange the pigs in a blanket on the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown.
