  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 pieces eggs

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch square baking dish generously.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, stirring until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chopped pecans, making sure they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for approximately 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  2. Allow the cake to cool for a few minutes before serving.
  3. For an extra touch, drizzle with warm caramel sauce and a sprinkle of pecans on top.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for the perfect bite. For longer storage, freeze in a tightly sealed container. Thaw in the refrigerator and reheat in the microwave.
