Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter Choose a quality creamy peanut butter for best flavor.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Regular white sugar.
  • 1 large egg Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda For leavening the cookies.
  • 20 pieces Hershey's Kisses Approximately 20 pieces needed for topping.
  • a pinch of salt salt Enhances the flavors.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, granulated sugar, egg, baking soda, and salt. Mix well until you have a smooth dough.
  3. Using a tablespoon, scoop out some dough and roll it into balls (about 1 inch in diameter). Place the balls on an ungreased baking sheet, leaving space between them.
Baking
  1. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 8-10 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly golden.
  2. As soon as the cookies are out of the oven, gently press a Hershey's Kiss into the center of each cookie. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds for a freshly baked feel.
