Peanut Butter Blossoms Recipe

Classic Peanut Butter Blossoms are soft, chewy cookies topped with a chocolate kiss. Perfect for holidays or any sweet occasion, they’re a timeless treat!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar plus extra for rolling
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 36 chocolate kisses unwrapped

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Hand or stand mixer
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Baking sheets
  • Parchment paper
  • Cooling rack

Method

  1. Preheat Oven:
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Make the Dough:
  4. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  5. Combine Dry Ingredients:
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. Shape the Cookies:
  8. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Roll each ball in granulated sugar to coat, then place them on the prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake:
  10. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
  11. Add the Chocolate Kiss:
  12. Immediately after removing the cookies from the oven, press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie. The cookies will crack slightly—this is normal.
  13. Cool and Enjoy:
  14. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack to set.
