  • 1 loaf brioche or challah bread cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Butter or oil for cooking
  • For Garnish:
  • Powdered sugar
  • Whipped cream
  • Maple syrup optional

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Peach Topping:
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  • Add the peaches, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir to combine.
  • Cook for 5–7 minutes, or until the peaches are soft and the sauce is slightly thickened.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and set aside.
  • Prepare the French Toast Mixture:
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  • Add the bread cubes to the mixture, gently tossing to coat. Let them soak for 5 minutes.
  • Cook the French Toast Bites:
  • Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.
  • Cook the soaked bread cubes in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown on all sides (about 2–3 minutes per side).

  • Place the cooked French toast bites on a serving platter.
