Oven Roasted Carrots Recipe

  • Parchment paper or aluminum foil
  • Mixing bowl
  • Tongs or a spatula

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound carrots peeled and cut into sticks or left whole if thin
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey optional for extra sweetness
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  • Prepare the Carrots:
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the carrots with olive oil, honey (if using), salt, pepper, and garlic. Ensure they’re evenly coated.
  • Arrange on Baking Sheet:
  • Spread the carrots in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even roasting.
  • Roast:
  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast for 20-25 minutes, turning the carrots halfway through. Roast until they are tender and slightly caramelized.
  • Finish:
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh thyme if desired. Serve warm.
