Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 10 pieces chicken drumsticks about 2 to 3 pounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt more to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper more to taste
  • 1 bunch fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro for garnish (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Toss the drumsticks in this seasoned mixture until well coated.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and place the coated drumsticks on the sheet, spacing them out to allow air circulation.
  5. Bake for about 35-45 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is crispy and golden brown. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) using a meat thermometer.
  6. Let the drumsticks rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

For substitutions, use barbecue seasoning for a smoky flavor or add cayenne for heat. Avoid overcrowding the pan for even cooking.
