Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the Rice-A-Roni according to the package instructions and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheese, chopped onion, milk, and the cooked Rice-A-Roni. Mix until well blended.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For fewer dishes, consider making a one-pot version in a Dutch oven. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for longer storage. Reheat at 350°F until warmed through.
