Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for frying

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients on your kitchen counter.
Mixing the Patties
  1. In a large bowl, add the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, crumbled feta, parsley, diced onion, minced garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix everything together until well combined.
Shaping the Patties
  1. With wet hands, take portions of the mixture and form them into patties about 1/2 inch thick. This should yield about 6-8 patties.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Gently place the patties in the skillet, leaving space between each one. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side or until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for an additional 4-5 minutes.
Finishing
  1. Ensure the internal temperature of the patties reaches 165°F (75°C).
  2. Remove the patties from the skillet and allow them to rest on a paper towel. Serve warm.

Notes

Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in a skillet for 8-10 minutes or in the oven at 350°F for 15-20 minutes.
