Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with a bit of butter.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, melted butter, flour, milk, baking powder, salt, lemon juice, and lemon zest until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Baking
  1. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the lemon filling is bubbling.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
