Lemon Cheesecake Crescent Rolls – A Delightful Citrus Pastry

These Lemon Cheesecake Crescent Rolls are the perfect blend of creamy cheesecake and zesty lemon, wrapped in flaky crescent dough. A quick and irresistible treat for any occasion!

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper or nonstick cooking spray
  • Hand mixer or whisk
  • Mixing bowl
  • Zester or grater
  • Small bowl and spoon (for glaze, optional)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 8-ounce can crescent roll dough
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar for optional glaze
  • 1 –2 teaspoons milk for optional glaze

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with nonstick spray.
  • Make the Cheesecake Filling:
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, lemon zest, and fresh lemon juice.
  • Beat with a hand mixer or whisk until smooth and creamy.
  • Assemble the Crescent Rolls:
  • Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
  • Place a spoonful of the cheesecake filling at the wider end of each triangle.
  • Roll up the dough starting at the wide end, tucking in the filling as you go. Place each roll on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake:
  • Bake the crescent rolls in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Optional Glaze:
  • In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the warm crescent rolls.
  • Serve:
  • Let the rolls cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm or at room temperature!
