Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Use high-quality unsalted butter for best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained and rinsed
  • 1 large lemon (juice and zest) Fresh is best for vibrant flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic adds a fragrant touch.
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Enhances flavor and presentation.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust based on preference.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Be careful not to let it brown too much; we want a light, golden color.
  2. Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until it's fragrant.
  3. Gently stir in the capers and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, allowing their briny flavor to infuse the butter.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat, then squeeze the juice from the lemon into the mixture, catching any seeds. Add the lemon zest for extra flavor.
  5. Season your sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Give it a good stir, and it’s ready to serve!

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop. For longer storage, consider freezing in ice cube trays.
