Crispy, healthy, and easy to make, these kale chips are the perfect snack! Seasoned to perfection, they’re a guilt-free treat that’s ready in minutes.

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing bowl
  • Tongs or your hands for tossing
  • Measuring spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch fresh kale washed and thoroughly dried
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional seasonings garlic powder, smoked paprika, chili flakes, nutritional yeast, or Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven
  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Prepare the Kale
  • Remove the kale leaves from the thick stems and tear them into bite-sized pieces. Make sure the kale is completely dry to ensure crispy chips.
  • Season the Kale
  • Place the kale in a mixing bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and toss gently to coat. Massage the oil into the kale leaves to ensure an even coating. Season with salt and any additional seasonings of your choice, tossing again to coat evenly.
  • Arrange on Baking Sheet
  • Spread the kale in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding, as this can prevent the kale from becoming crispy. Use a second baking sheet if needed.
  • Bake
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the kale is crispy and slightly golden around the edges. Check occasionally to prevent burning, especially around the 15-minute mark.
  • Cool and Serve
  • Remove from the oven and let the kale chips cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes. They’ll continue to crisp up as they cool. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to a few days.
